School Axis operates strictly as a software service provider (Data Processor). The subscribing educational institution, school management trust, or society retains 100% legal ownership and custody of all student master records, parent KYC, fee transaction books, and employee rosters (Data Controller). School Axis will never sell, lease, monetize, or utilize student information for third-party commercial advertising.
Our systems are engineered in strict compliance with applicable child privacy protections, including COPPA and local education board standards. Student records, exam scores, and live GPS transit telemetry are accessible solely by authenticated school staff, the assigned route driver, and the verified parent or legal guardian.
All database records are protected by industry-standard AES-256 encryption at rest, and all client-to-server transmissions across web browsers and mobile apps enforce TLS 1.3 encryption. Biometric fingerprint and facial attendance machines synchronize irreversible cryptographic hash templates; raw biometric images are never uploaded or stored on School Axis servers.
Vehicle telemetry transmitted by the Driver Mobile Terminal or hardwired GPS devices is utilized in real time to calculate stop arrival ETAs for parents. Real-time location broadcast terminates immediately upon driver trip completion. Historical route breadcrumb telemetry is retained strictly for institutional fleet auditing and is purged automatically in accordance with the school's configured retention schedule.
Upon expiration or termination of an institutional subscription, the school administration is provided with complete database exports (SQL dump, CSV files, and archived PDF attachments). All institutional records hosted on School Axis cloud infrastructure are securely scrubbed and permanently overwritten following standard Department of Defense data sanitization procedures.
